Celemi’s Apples & Oranges® is a board-based business simulation of a company where employees
face a challenge: to lead and develop the company to achieve maximum productivity and
profit. Participants learn to monitor cash flows, improve the
efficiency of resource development and analyse balance sheets and profit &
loss statements. All this under constant pressure from suppliers, customers and
competitors.
Working in small teams of 4, the simulation runs for an intensive 6-8 hours.
Each team gets instant feedback on how their decisions on such different
matters as stock management and customer service influence the bottom line. In short
they compare apples and oranges. From this they learn how to get the most out of
company resources.
Based on a single core business simulation, four variations of Apples & Oranges
are available, each of which includes some special twists to provide experience unique to
a particular industry:
- Apples & Oranges MANUFACTURING: suitable for participants from any industry,
this version helps people learn the basics of business finance. It is based upon a model of a
manufacturing company.

CELEMI Enterprise™ business simulation was released in 2008. Six companies compete
for the same customers in a dynamic marketplace. Participants take on the roles of the management team
(Marketing & Sales, Development, Planning and Finance). The challenge is to build and successfully
execute a strategy that leads to a winning market value for the enterprise.
Enterprise is compelling, absorbing, fun and highly competitive; it is a very fast way to enable management
teams learn to work together and behave strategically.
During 1½ to 2 intensive days Enterprise helps middle and senior managers from many different
industry sectors to think and act strategically.
Specifically, participants will learn to:

CELEMI Performance™ is the latest product in the Celemi portfolio, released in 2009. It is a
board-based business simulation for from 4 to several hundred participants, grouped in teams of 4.
Performance workshops take just 4 hours.
In Celemi Performance™, teams exercise their business minds by following the case story of Fenix Inc.
In three chapters, they help Fenix Inc. to get the basics right, create a competitive advantage, and finally
to win the business. Throughout the workshop, participants draw parallels to their own reality, reflecting
on the challenges and opportunities for their own company
Participants from all levels and functions can come together for a constructive dialogue about a
broad range of strategically important issues, such as product life cycles, disruptive technologies, customer
segmentation and short-term vs. long-term profitability
A Celemi Performance workshop creates broad, shared understanding of the key issues and factors
that influence the business. It highlights the fundamental importance of customer focus, including
a solid understanding of customer needs. It illustrates how small improvements can have a great effect
on the bottom line and it inspires people to focus on what can be done, even when business conditions

Celemi’s Decision Base® allows participants to simulate activities commonly performed
in capital-intensive companies in fast-changing markets. Throughout 2 intensive days
(and 10 simulated years) six teams compete for clients
markets and profits. Participants learn to manage corporate intelligence and analyses,
purchasing, product development and production, finance and marketing and sales.
Decision Base helps to get people from different departments see the company as a
whole and become better strategic decision makers. Decision Base breaks down barriers
between departments. Above all, Decision Base enables key
people to understand how and why their decisions influence the entire organisation.
Cidermill uses Decision Base to teach sales teams
selling to end user companies how to understand the strategic business issues faced by

The Medici Game from Celemi is a 3 hour exercise in innovative thinking.
It is based on the book The Medici Effect by Frans Johansson. The game
is designed to help organisations inspire and engage people around innovation. It is
suitable for all types of organisation across all industries and excites people
at all levels.
Working in teams of 3-4 people, participants are encouraged to think out of the
box, learn how to explore new ideas and find fresh answers to familiar
challenges. The behaviour they develop can produce dramatic results when applied
to their own business challenges.
