Our main focus at Cidermill is to provide consulting and training services for business, especially to high technology companies. At the same time, we've been approached by many home users who need help to master Microsoft Windows and Windows-based home software applications. We are now pleased to offer HOME SUPPORT consulting services, paid for on an hourly basis.

We can offer HOME SUPPORT locally in Berkshire and Gloucestershire. We're focusing solely in these areas, to minimise travel costs which would have to be passed on to our home users.

Typical users of our HOME SUPPORT service are competent computer users, who need extra help to master some of the more advanced features of Windows, or who are experiencing problems getting Windows to behave properly. Home users are often intimidated by so-called 'experts' at PC shops, fearing they will be exploited and overcharged because of their lack of knowledge. We offer a sympathetic style of consulting, taking great care to use simple language, and we take time to explain what is happening. In most cases, we hardly touch your PC. We guide you, so you gain experience for yourself, with our help.

If you find any of these tasks difficult, we might be able to help. A HOME SUPPORT visit usually takes 1 to 2 hours, at a time of day to suit you. Some people find that one visit solves most of their problems. But we can deliver any number of visits, if required. Following a HOME SUPPORT visit, we are happy to answer quick questions over the phone, for no extra charge.
