May 2005: Cidermill announces new Investment Analysis sales training
Responding to demand from our customers, Cidermill has developed a new sales training
module to help sales professionals prepare and present capital project investment
proposals.
In the IT industry, sales people are already skilled at presenting the
technical details of a project. But the board of directors, to whom they are presenting,
demand to see thorough investment analysis. It is no longer sufficient to show a list of
vague benefits and a total project price. The project proposal must now
include discounted cash flow and internal rate of return calculations. This new
training module includes:
- Assessing project lifetime costs
- Identifying tangible and intangible benefits
- Cash flow and break-even point
- Theory of Discounted Cash Flow
- Calculating Net Present Value (NPV)
- Calculating Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
- Practical exercises
The training module provides an excellent foundation for financially assessing capital
projects. Participants gain the confidence to present a project in a way that persuades
the board that it is a sound investment. The course is available immediately.
